This document will help you post to an e-mail discussion group. The information provided is
for subscribers of e-mail discussion groups hosted by The Resource Center.
For assistance with other groups, contact their administrator. Posting
You must be a subscriber to post a message to the e-mail discussion group.

To post a message to the group, send an e-mail
message to listname@lists.etr.org,
where listname is the name of the list (such
as aclist, nssctalk, or readslist).
For example, to post a message to the Senior Corps e-mail discussion group, send a message to nssctalk@lists.etr.org.
Replying to a Post
Replying to the entire e-mail discussion group:
Hit the "reply" button and the message will be sent back to the e-mail discussion group and received by all subscribers.
Replying to an individual:
Copy and paste the sender's e-mail address into the "To" field of a new e-mail message.
Please reply to the individual when the reply is personal in nature or not intended for the entire group.
Attachments
Attachments are not allowed on e-mail discussion group postings. Attachments can tie up the server and increase the risk of spreading a virus.
E-mail attachments directly to individuals who have expressed interest in receiving your materials.
Prohibited Postings
The following types of postings are prohibited:
- Messages that are political, partisan or could be considered lobbying
- Advertisements for fee-based services or products
- Chain letters
- Jokes
- Petitions
- Resumes
- Messages from individuals seeking employment
- Legal advice
