This document will help you change your listserv settings. The information
provided is for subscribers of listservs hosted by The Resource
Center. For assistance with other listservs, contact their listserv administrator.
Settings
The listserv has a number of features that you may want to use:
- Digest mode: Sends you one message with a digest of all
the messages sent daily, rather than sending each message individually.
- Index mode: Sends you only a list of subject lines for
the day and no messages
- Discussion mode: Sends you each message as it is posted.
This is the default setting.
- Temporary suspend mail from the list: Good for when you
are out of the office or on vacation.
- Acknowledgement: Sends you a confirmation message when
your posts are distributed to the listserv.
- Receive copies of your own posts.
Commands
To change your setting, send an e-mail message to lyris@lists.etr.org. Type
a command into either the subject line or text of the message following this
format:
Set [listserv name] [command]
For example, to set your NSSCTalk listserv settings to digest mode, type: Set
nssctalk digest
